Introduction
Turnitin is a plugin that Trine uses for assignments that are submitted to Moodle. Turnitin is a powerful plagiarism detection software. At Trine University, Turnitin is primarily used for reviewing plagiarism in Word document submissions; however, TurnItIn can also scan submissions that are in doc., docx., HTML, txt., PDF, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and a few other formats. In addition to combatting plagiarism, TurnItIn also comes with an expansive grading interface and assignment submission viewer. Turnitin has many grading features available, but these will be discussed more in-depth throughout future sections.
