10. How the Night Praise Should Be Done in Summertime
From Easter till the first of November, let them keep the complete number of psalms as stated above, 2 with this exception: Since the nights are short, the readings in the book should be kept to a minimum; so instead of those three readings, one reading from the Old Testament should be recited by heart, followed by a short responsory.
3 They should carry out all the rest as stated above, so that they recite no fewer than twelve psalms at the Night Office, not counting Psalms 3 and 95.
