50. Brothers Who Work Far From the Church or Who Are on a Journey

When brothers work at a great distance and are unable to meet in the oratory at the appointed time, and the abbot judges that this is so, let them carry out the Work of God where they work, kneeling down and trembling with godly fear.

Likewise, those sent on a journey should not ignore the established hours, but they, as they are able, should carry them out and not become careless about rendering their measure of service.
