29. Receiving Back Brothers Who Have Left the Monastery

If a brother who has left the monastery through his own fault wants to return, let him first promise to change everything that caused him to leave, and then let him be received back into the last place to test in this way his humility.

If he goes away a second time, let him be received back, and even a third time, but after that, he should know that every opportunity to return will be denied him.
