19. The Instruction for Singing Psalms
We believe that the Divine Presence is everywhere and that “in every place the eyes of the Lord watch the good and the evil” (Prov 15:3). 2 Most especially, then, we should, without any doubt, believe this when we are present for the Divine Work.
3 Therefore, let us always remember what the Prophet said:
Serve the Lord in fear. (Ps 2:11)
4 And again:
Sing wisely. (Ps 47:8)
5 And:
In the sight of the angels
I shall sing to you. (Ps 138:1)
6 Therefore, let us consider how we ought to conduct ourselves in the presence of the Divine and his angels. 7 And let us stand to sing so that our minds may be in harmony with our voices.
