51. Brothers Who Do Not Travel Far
A brother who is sent off for some reason, and is expected to return to the monastery that day, should not presume to eat outside, even if he is asked by someone repeatedly, 2 unless perhaps his abbot instructs him. 3 If he does otherwise, let him be excommunicated.
