Accessibility Statement
The web version of Comparative Vertebrate and Human Anatomy: Ecology, Evolution, and Function has been designed to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, level AA with the following features:
- Easy navigation: This resource has a linked table of contents and uses headings in each chapter to make navigation easy.
- Accessible videos: All videos in this resource have captions.
- Accessible images: All images in this resource that convey information have alternative text. Images that are decorative have empty alternative text. Images with long descriptions link from the image directly to the long description section at the end of the book.
- Accessible links: All links use descriptive link text.
- Accessible tables: All tables with organized information use headings to navigate cells.
While we strive to ensure that this resource is as accessible and usable as possible, there may be outstanding accessibility limitations due to various factors. Any issues identified will be listed below.
- Numbered lists in various chapters are under review to identify hierarchy lists (to remain numbered) versus bulleted lists.
- Redundant titles are identified in various chapters related to Pressbooks platform code.
- Headings are currently being edited to convey correct hierarchy.
- Multiple instances of underlined text are being reviewed by auditor and author to determine if text can be bolded or italicized.
