Accessibility Statement

The web version of Leveraging Data Visualization to Communicate Effectively has been designed to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, level AA with the following features:

  • Easy navigation: This resource has a linked table of contents and uses headings in each chapter to make navigation easy.
  • Accessible images: All images in this resource that convey information have alternative text. Images that are decorative have empty alternative text. Images with long descriptions link from the image directly to the long description section at the end of the book.
  • Accessible tables: All tables with organized information use headings to navigate cells.
  • Accessible lists: All lists have been accurately formatted and tagged as ordered or unordered list depending on their context.
  • Descriptive Link Text: All in-text links hyperlink from descriptive text.

While we strive to ensure that this resource is as accessible and usable as possible, there may be outstanding accessibility limitations due to various factors. Any issues identified will be listed below.

  • Videos are under review for accurate captions
  • PDFs are under review for remediation.
  • Redundant titles are identified in various chapters related to Pressbooks platform code.
