(Ps 119:164)<\/em><\/blockquote>\r\n<sup>2\u00a0<\/sup>We shall fulfill this sacred number of seven if we carry out the duties of our service at Matins, Prime, Terce, Sext, None, Vespers, and Compline.\r\n\r\n<sup>3\u00a0<\/sup>For it was concerning these hours of the day that the Prophet said:\r\n<blockquote><em>Seven times a day <\/em>\r\n<em>I have recited your praise. (Ps 119:164)<\/em><\/blockquote>\r\n<sup>4\u00a0<\/sup>As for the Night Vigil, that same Prophet said:\r\n<blockquote><em>In the middle of the night, <\/em>\r\n<em>I would rise to confess you.
